Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation Grants

INSIGHTS EXHIBITIONS II, III AND VI

AND NOW:

INSIGHTS V !!!!

“The Salvator Mommy: Savior of Cars and Bipolar Daughters” by Susan Todd Martin , winner of 2022 Grant and now in The Foundation’s Collection

My art achievements are crowned by these grants from the wonderful Dusty and Joyce Sang in honor of their son Ryan who lost his life to Bipolar Disorder. They created The Foundation in his memory to recognize Bipolar Creatives like me, and to further research into this deadly illness. They support medical and scientific research to find a bio-marker so that children can be diagnosed before this disease ravages their lives as it did mine, and Ryan’s and so many thousands of others. I am so honored to have these works recognized and placed in their permanent collection, which will help reduce the stigma of future generations of people who have this illness. We are not criminals, we have a dreadful death-dealing illness and walk a precarious tightrope of symptoms and mood fluctuations that can throw us into oblivion in the blink of an eye.
